Volunteer at the Dixboro Farmers' Market

Our Market would not happen without the help of our very dedicated volunteers. We are always looking to add new folks to the team, so stop by the Red Market Managers' Tent to see how you can help out this season! See below for some of the things you could expect to do and key times that we need extra hands. We do not need volunteers to commit to coming to all of these times or every week, but we'd love to have you if you'd love to be here!

Friday AM Set-Up: Approx. 8:30am.
Every Friday morning, the Market Manager will be on the Village Green setting up for that afternoon's market. We come early to beat the heat, as the Green does not do much to provide shade!
  • Set-Up Tents, Tables, Chairs for Market Operations
  • Set-Up Cones Along Short St.
  • Place Signs Throughout the Dixboro Neighborhood
  • Decorate the Green for the Market

Market Operations: Anytime between 1pm and 6pm.
We do not need volunteers to commit to an entire shift at the Farmers' Market. Stop by the Red Managers' Tent to talk with the Market Manager to see what needs to be done/what could be done at that time. Potential tasks include:
  • Getting Vendors Set-Up
  • Checking on Vendors
  • Running Water Bottles
  • Taking Surveys
  • Take Pictures and Videos
  • Support Special Events on the Green

Market Shut-Down: 5:45-6:15pm.
Toward the end of the market, we begin to take down the decorations and pull in our equipment.
  • Put Away Tents, Tables, and Chairs.
  • Put Away Cones.
  • Pick-Up Signs and Put Away
  • Put Away Decorations

How to be prepared as a volunteer:
  • Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty and are comfortable.
  • Wear SPF.
  • Check the Weather.
  • Bring a smile!
